Refined mansion in the historic center, for leisure stay but also for business travelers and corporate workshops
The elegant Art Nouveau building in the centre of Genoa, Hotel Bristol is one of the oldest and most known hotels in the city. Four-star hotel belonging to Duetorrihotels Chain – Italian hotellerie excellence, one of the symbols of Made in Italy – represents a “safe harbour” for travellers and tourists, thanks to the proximity to the airport of Nice.
Even if it is known for leisure trips, this location is also suitable for managers in corporate travel and workshops: its wide and bright meeting rooms are able to accommodate small groups up to 200 people.
Special attentions
In addition of boasting are fined design, original Art Deco furnishings – impressive the dizzying elliptical staircase in art nouveau – and living rooms in a Napoleon III style, the hotel cuddles its guests with special attentions, starting from breakfast, which takes place in two magnificent rooms with frescoes: organic and zero km products, cakes, tasty focaccia alla Genovese are on the menu and, on request, guests may have a high quality American breakfast. A buffet area is reserved to gluten free products. The hotel also offers a beautiful and comfortable 80 sq.m terrace, sheltered by two large sails, ideal for a lunch or a romantic dinner with à la carte menu.
Inside the old town, surrounded by the beauties of the city
One of the most beautiful and vital Italian cities extends beyond the threshold of the Bristol. In fact, one of strengths of the hotel is its location, in the heart of the old town, not very far from Palazzo Ducale, Carlo Felice theatre and the most important museums and historical buildings. A beautiful promenade leads directly to the Lanterna, the symbol of Genoa, one of the oldest lighthouses in operation. From its 117 meters high top, you can see the glance of the sea, and the city; a marvellous panoramic view.
It is worthwhile to explore the city, get lost in narrow arcades, shady alleys, popular markets and sparkling courses dotted with historic buildings, such as the Palazzi dei Rolli: an urban system included in the World Heritage List of UNESCO, designed by the Genoese nobility.
The Other Liguria
Not far from Genoa, you can let yourself be enchanted by another Liguria, made up of small bays and romantic villages perched on the sea: boarding on a tourist boat and sailing along the Eastern Riviera, visiting the Golfo Paradiso with Recco and Camogli, the striking Baia di S. Fruttuoso, the golfo del Tigullio with Portofino, Levanto and Bonassola until the arrival in the regional Marine Reserve of Cinque Terre. Moreover, the Bristol Palace is a strategic location to reach the Lange in just an hour drive: land of Barolo, Barbaresco and white truffles.
